Woodlawn

This pool house room was a showhouse for Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital. The Designer was also the client. Wanting to create an eclectic and unique space, the design here was focused on vintage mid-century design. The cocktail table was designed by myself and created a one-of-a-kind, low profile, functional centerpiece. The contrast of light and dark painting on the ceiling fooled the eye and added visual dimension to the space. The large commissioned painting in the room perfectly satisfied the need for a major focal point with a huge impact.

The light and dark walls, along with the symmetrical seating and asymmetrical wall design created a push-pull feeling in the space. Dramatic lighting finished off the room and provided a moody feel. The vintage Italian Artimide molded plastic chairs and vinyl sofa upholstery made for the perfect materials for pool house seating.
